Encrypted EVM
Familiar execution. The contract runs. The contents of the run stay sealed.
Zelum is an Ethereum virtual machine with encryption around the execution. A transaction enters the runtime. The contract runs. The result returns as a seal. Developers keep the execution model they already use: a program, a call, a state transition.
What stays sealed
Inputs, balances, and the path the contract took through shielded state remain inside the note. The public layer does not receive a transcript. It receives evidence that a valid transition occurred. Programmability and privacy are the same runtime. A contract runs private. It is not made private after the fact.
The key
On the testnet, an account is an EVM key. You generate one, or you unlock a key you already hold. That key signs the transfers and the deploys. The address is how the explorer and the note refer to you.
